What is a volunteer?
Someone who gives their time freely and without payment, to benefit other people, the community or the environment.
Who Volunteer?
Anyone can volunteer if they feel they have something to offer. Men and women carry out voluntary work in roughly equal numbers. Age is not a barrier over half the volunteers we see are under 30. A growing number of young people are coming forward to volunteer.

What can you do?
You can choose from the hundreds of opportunities we have registered on the database waiting to be filled by volunteers, the list is endless, but you could think about such things as caring, mentoring, teaching, helping, advising, driving, cooking, administration and many more.
How much time do you have to give?
You can give as much or as little time as you like. Many organisations are flexible on the time volunteers need
