We have five main functions:
Liaison – forming links between organisations and setting up networks for their mutual benefit and effectiveness.
Representation – we encourage and enable voluntary sector to voice their opinions on local and national issues and policy and influence decision making.
Development – we assist in the development of new voluntary and community groups, identify new needs and develop initiatives to meet them.
Services and Support – we offer a range of services including: a comprehensive training programme, information library, bi-monthly newsletter, meeting rooms, photocopying, stationery ordering, Funder Finder, equipment loan and Volunteer Bureau services.
Strategic partnership working – we work at a strategic level with statutory organizations to enable the voluntary sector to inform and influence service provision.
